Spring is all about florals and pretty colors. But to be honest, after a while I get kinda tired of seeing the same style of florals in artwork and fashion. I thought it’d be cool to switch things up and create abstract floral for this month’s wallpapers.
Abstract art really inspires me because it’s almost as if the artist left a part of the process up to me to finish. I become part of the piece as I imagine what it could mean or what the empty spaces and shapes could become. There’s an element of anticipation and reflection that I enjoy.
I hope these pieces help you reflect and inspire you to become part of the art process. May they remind you to have hopeful anticipation for whatever God has in the works for you.
There are two versions of the artwork. One with illustrated details and one without. I love them both! To download the wallpapers, long press or right click on the images below.
Galentine’s day is about appreciating all the types of friendships we have. Having a significant other is amazing (I can’t live without my hubby), but sometimes guys just can’t be there for us the way a girlfriend can. Our girls–they get us. And they fill up a part of our hearts that a guy simply can’t. #realtalk
It’s important to cultivate those relationships. And to make the effort (even if we feel corny) to express appreciation. Going out of our way to show our girls the important role they play in our lives builds our relationships and encourages a spirit of celebration.
So if you’re getting ready for Galentine’s Day, here are a few ideas and gifts to celebrate your gals:
Write a letter to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while Yeah, this can be super awkward. Probably will make you feel uncomfortable. But let’s not assume that our friend is out to get us or is neglecting us on purpose. Let’s reach out, let’s take the first step. Maybe they need to be reminded that their friendship matters.
Send a new friend a small gift or snail mail This is a challenge for me! But seriously, what do we have to lose? It can be extremely vulnerable to take a step to build a deeper connection with new friends. You have to do the work! Sending a small gift is the perfect way to show you care and you want to connect more. Simple and understated gifts like a little makeup bag or earrings are good gifts for a new friend.
Give your closest, ride or die gals a customized gift Those gals you can count on, the ones that really get you, the ones that celebrate your achievements, the ones that like allllll your posts, and the ones that get your humor. Those gals deserve to know how they make your life better. It goes such a long way. And even though these type of friends don’t expect a “thank you” or anything in return, they deserve encouragement and appreciation.
The love month is here! I rather call it appreciation month, though, because it’s a month to appreciate all the people you love.
February is a month to celebrate relationships and connection–whether you have a significant other or not. And you know what? I bet that there’s someone in your life that you can say “thank you” or “I appreciate you” to.
This month I’ve created a few illustrated and feminine wallpapers for you to dress up your phone. I hope they inspire to celebrate the people you love.
P.S. Stay on the lookout for some more fun freebies in coming weeks to help you celebrate Valentine’s day AND Galentine’s day. I think you should celebrate BOTH, just sayin’. 😉

Today is National Vision Board Day! Who knew this was a
Well, I’m glad it is because that means we can get our creative
juices flowing. And we get to imagine and envision our goals and dreams
becoming a reality.
There is so much power in painting a picture and creating a
world that isn’t here yet. Imagination and dream casting reignites our passion
for life. It helps up create our future.
You know, sometimes our routines and responsibilities make
us forget to dream, to have fun, to get creative, and to build our future. Being
present is necessary. Being responsible is necessary.
But once in a while, it’s good to become a kid again. Break out the glue, scissors, and glitter! Let’s imagine and pray over the goals and dreams God has placed in our hearts.
For some reason, when we start seeing it and creating it and putting it on paper (or board in this case), these things start to seem possible. What we’re basically doing with this creative exercise is fanning into flame the gift of God, which He has given to each and every one of us (2 Timothy 1:6-7).
So, what do you need to create a Vision Board for 2019? Very
Ribbon, glitter, fabric, anything you can find at home that inspires you
Arrange all the inspiration, printouts, verses, etc. on your board
Place it in a space where you can see it every day.
Bonus: brew a cup of coffee, pick your favorite mug, sip on it while creating. This is just to set the mood 😉 Some music may help too.
The most important thing is to be honest with yourself. Ask
yourself what you want 2019 to look like. Maybe that means fitting into an old
pair of jeans. Maybe it means finally having the courage to get that haircut.
Maybe it means starting a business (what does that look like?). Maybe it means
starting a family. Or maybe it’s refurnishing and designing a room in your
Whatever you see, whatever you’ve written down as goals, translate them into pictures and visuals, and put them on your board.
