November is probably my most favorite month of the year. Not only are the holiday’s right around the corner, but my wedding anniversary and birthday are in November. It’s the month that kicks-off holiday season for my family.

It seems like every year I become more and more thankful for all the good God has done in my life. Despite the challenges, I’ve learned to see the silver lining. This year I’m thankful for God’s faithfulness. More so, I’m thankful for the things I am waiting for Him to do. He’s made a way, His word is true, and I have nothing to fear.

This past summer my husband and I received a report from the doctor that we didn’t expect. Having children was not going to look like how we planned. And the dreaded word, infertility, became a reality for us. At first, I was so mad at God. I couldn’t even pray. But as the months have passed, thanks to a lot of people and our faith, I feel as if my hope for what’s to come has been restored.

That, to me, is a reason to be thankful. Thanksgiving won’t be an afterthought for the Palmas. We have lots to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving season, I want to encourage you to think about the things God has restored in your life. And think about the faith He’s given you to believe for what’s to come. Rejoice in that, say thanks to Him.

And find every reason to celebrate life! I think that’s the best way to show God how thankful we are for His blessings.
