When I think of Easter, I think of church, bright colors, fun fashion, and making special memories with my family. It’s a time to reflect on all that God has done for us (John 3:16) and also a time to embrace the season of Spring. Here are my top nine Easter favorites. Which one’s your favorite?
Music
Every season, every holiday, and every special occasion needs a soundtrack. That’s why Easter just isn’t the same without some praise and worship music. Listen to my Easter 2022 Spotify Playlist to be inspired, moved, and give thanks to God.
Fashion
I’m a sucker for the color green. And pink. Those two vibrant colors are my official color palette for Easter and Spring. This Easter, I’m really liking the bright-colored suit or a bright-colored puffy-sleeved dress. Both ends of the spectrum are represented here and both make such a big statement. Pair the suit with a beautiful broche to give it a softer look. Or pair the dress with some statement jewelry and boots to give it some edge.
Accessories
Butterfly hairclips were my thing in the 4th grade. And I still love them in my 30s. To achieve a youthful and elevated look, I’d choose these beautiful hair claw clip. The butterfly one makes my 4th-grade self scream!
Dessert
Easter just ain’t Easter without some delicious dessert. Am I right?! I love cake, candy, and chocolate. All the sweets. But I’m a sucker for cookies. Especially homemade ones. These are colorful (which make for great IG pics and go with my Easter palette lol), yummy, and everyone enjoys a good classic cookie.
Church
For many people, Easter is a day to collect eggs and take pictures with the Easter bunny. All of that is so fun! And we will for sure be doing that. But for people who follow Christ, around the entire world, Easter is the biggest holiday of all. It is the crux of all we believe in. And attending church is a crucial part of celebrating and honoring this holiday. Our family attends a few weekend services and fun event for the kids hosted by our church. And I am really expectant and excited to celebrate God’s love for us!
Kids Easter baskets
After church, this is my favorite part of Easter! I love seeing kids’ happy faces when they open a gift. I like to shop for these small gifts at the Dollar Store, Five Below, or the dollar section at Target. This year I’m looking to add a book that will help me teach my toddler about Jesus’ life and resurrection. As well as other fun toys like bubbles, cars, sunglasses, coloring books, and maybe even a cute t-shirt.
Devotional
Something that helps me get the right perspective about Easter is getting into God’s word. And it’s so easy to do so, even for busy moms like me, when we have apps like the Bible app that hosts hundreds of devotionals. This year during the Easter season, I’ve read one based on Lent and now I’m starting one that will go through Holy Week called, “Easter The Miracle Of Jesus”. So looking forward to diving in!
Family activities
Besides doing egg hunts and attending fun Easter events, one family activity I always like to do is my Passion Week Timeline Cards. These are a Styld by Grace original and they’re beautiful and meaningful. My favorite thing about them is that I can do it with my family each day of Passion week and feel close to Jesus with them. The cards go through what Jesus was up to leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection. You can download them here: https://styldbygrace.com/8-unique-passion-week-timeline-cards-inspired-by-stained-glass/
Artwork
Throughout the years I have created so many beautiful and worshipful pieces of digital art. I have tons of wallpapers to help you celebrate this season. They are evergreen and perfect for this season. You can download them on the SBG Art Vault. If you don’t have access to the Art Vault, sign up to my newsletter to get the link here.
That’s a wrap!
Which one is your favorite on the list? Hope you have the best Easter! Most of all, I hope you experience the hope that’s found in Jesus.
