8 Unique Passion Week Timeline Cards Inspired By Stained Glass

As I created this project, I was moved to thankfulness and tears. These cards represent each day of Passion Week–starting Palm Sunday and culminating on Resurrection Sunday.

The front side of the cards are a modern take on stained, colored glass. They remind me of traditional churches with beautiful depictions of Jesus’ life. And on the back of each card, there is timeline of the events that happened on each day of Passion Week.

At the bottom of the back, there is a space to take notes and bible references that correspond to the timeline’s events.

I love taking a step back during Passion Week to get my heart in a position of gratitude. Making these cards reminded me of how extraordinary Jesus is. Despite all of the chaos and what he knew lied ahead, he took time to celebrate, love, and teach so we could all see and grow from his example.

I hope these cards set the tone for your week. I hope the colors and patterns urge you to pick them up and get closer to Jesus this coming week.

Free Easter Wallpapers-Celebrating Good Friday & Resurrection Sunday

Growing up Easter meant I’d have a new dress to add to my wardrobe and new shoes to add to my collection. It meant I’d curl my hair and put a little more mascara on. Easter Sunday at church was like a parade of pretty dresses and the highest of wedges.

Now, Easter means so much more to me. Don’t get me wrong I will most likely purchase a new dress to wear on Sunday but that will only be an outward expression of the joy and gratitude I have in my heart.

It might be my melancholic side, but I truly look forward to remembering and reflecting on the cross. The heaviness my heart feels when I think of all that Jesus did to rescue me, love me, and reconcile me back to my Father, is a way of helping me realign my priorities. It harkens my heart to bow low and surrender my will for His.

And then there’s the invigorating joy that comes after reminiscing. Jesus’ resurrection tells me that all the hardship, fear, anxiety, and overwhelm, is forever silenced. I can declare God’s promises for me because He rose again.

Good Friday Prayer & Reflection

ByHisWounds_Artwork

“Lord Jesus I thank you for your love, your sacrifice, and your example. Where would I be without you? Thank you for doing the will of Your Father and dying on the cross for my sins. You took my place, you conquered death so I could live. The gap between us and God is gone thanks to You. Thank you for your blood that washed my sin and cleansed me from all sickness and disease. Today I can claim victory and declare myself victorious because you overcame. I love you Lord! I will never take for granted, I will never take lightly what you did on the cross for me. I praise you and will continue to praise you forever. Amen!”

The great thing about Good Friday and Easter Sunday is that it reminds me that Jesus died on the cross and rose again for all the world. Not for perfect individuals that have it all together. He came to save those who were sick. Meaning, all of us. If you haven’t decided to follow Jesus yet, please consider this an invitation from Him. He loves you no matter what happened yesterday, a few minutes ago, or what will happen tomorrow.

At some point in our lives, we must decide to follow or not follow God. We stand at a crossroads. Do we walk with Him or do we go our own way?

If you feel a tugging in your heart to follow Jesus, pray this prayer with me:
“Dear God, I come to you acknowledging that I need you. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me and make me new. I confess that Jesus in my Lord and Savior. And from this day forward I will do my best to live a life that’s pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

Was that your first time saying that prayer? I would love to hear from you at info@styldbygrace.com!

If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, be encouraged to share His love with others. Extend an invitation to your church, pray for your friends and family, and share God’s word.

Hoping you all have a great Easter weekend! Let’s celebrate the King!
