Post originally written in 2019 for 2020. But it is applicable for the upcoming year 2021.
One of the best practices I’ve adopted over the past few years is choosing a word of the year. Essentially, it sets the tone of the upcoming year for me and helps me get laser focused on my goals.
But goal setting and follow through has always been difficult for me. Writing them down, taking time to think, and create a plan has been helpful. This year I decided to get very intentional about planning. I got a goal setting planner (which you can get at cultivatewhatmatter.com) and made goals that are realistic for this season of my life.
I’d love to share with you some of the goal setting strategies I’ve learned this year so you can also kick-butt in the new year. I created a downloadable goal setting planning sheet to make it super easy for you.
Download it, print it, and let’s walk through it together…
The crux of the goal setting planning sheet is your word of the year. It’ll help you choose one word to define your new year and help you set goals around that word. My word of the year for 2020 was AGAPE π

So beautiful and brilliant! I Love this! I would love to try this with my daughters as we enter a new school year. Do you have versions with the year as a fill in?
